The Abu Tig Treatment Plant Expansion Project, with a capacity of 30,000/45,000 m3/day, and the sewage treatment plant for the villages of Abu Tig Center, are part of the presidential "Decent Life" initiative to develop rural Egyptian villages.
It aims to extend sewage service to the villages of Nakhila, Baqour, Nazlet Baqour, and Al-Duwaina, with a total sewage network length of 81,891 km and a total of 39,420 km of discharge lines.
The project includes the water path (inlet and filters - sand retention basins - 2 primary sedimentation basins - 4 aeration basins - 2 final sedimentation basins - air blowers - chlorine mixing basins), in addition to the sludge path (primary sludge lifting station - recycled sludge lifting station - sludge digestion basin - sludge concentration basins - 49 drying basins), in addition to the service buildings (administrative building - main distributor building - warehouse and workshop - transformers - generation building - fuel tank - chlorine cylinder storage building).
